Celtic Silver Bracelets

Wide Celtic Knotwork Panel Bracelet

When making celtic knotwork jewellery, Mark likes to work with chunky, deep interlacing, to highlight the beauty of the pattern.

As with a lot of highlighted manuscripts, this bracelet is made up of repeating simple symmetrical panels of true knotwork.

Narrow Celtic Knotwork Bracelet

When making celtic knotwork jewellery, Mark likes to work with chunky, deep interlacing, to highlight the beauty of the pattern.

Mark makes a number of panel designs for the narrow celtic knotwork bracelets, all of them intricate and intriguing.

Structural Silver Bracelets

Structural Silver Leaf Bracelet

Inspired by crinkled leaves that fall from the trees in the autumn, Mark created a simplified stylised version of the crinkled leaf which capitalises upon the reflective nature of silver, creating concave and convex shapes to play with the light, provideing large surface area reflectivity whilst retaining a delicate feel and comfort.

Chain Maille Spiral Bracelet

Long after it ceased to be used for practical military applications, chain mail continued to be used for decorative purposes, and this then evolved into the use of maille in jewellery.

With this spiral maille, the spiral is held in place by fastening the chain after twisting the spiral into it. When you unfasten the chain, the spiral simply unwinds.

Articulated Bangle - Four Bars

The articulated bangle is exactly what the name suggests - it is a bangle in that it has no clasp and instead it pushes over the hand therefore retaining its symetrical clean and modern form. The articulation makes the bangle easy to wear - to push on, and it makes the bangle fall easily and hang naturally around the wrist.

Articulated Bangle - Three Links

The articulated bangle is exactly what the name suggests - it is a bangle in that it has no clasp and instead it pushes over the hand therefore retaining its symetrical clean and modern form. Chain Maille Byzantine Bracelet

Long after it ceased to be used for practical military applications, chain mail continued to be used for decorative purposes, and this then evolved into the use of maille in jewellery.

The Byzantine Empire was part of the Roman Empire during the Middle Ages. It's capital city was Constantinople, originally known as Byzantium.

Punk Rock Chocolate Block Bracelet

Convex shapes offer exciting reflective potential for silver - the shiniest metal across the visible spectrum. Inspired by square section punk rock studs colars and also by chocolate blocks, the Punk Rock Chocolate Block Bracelet is chunky and heavy and kinda Rock with added chic.

Chain Maille Spiral Bracelet

This box maille is chunky and solid looking, and sits wonderfully the wrist. The box is actually a piece of sheet maille traditionally used as armour, which has been 'rolled up' and 'stitched' together with another row of rings forming a chain with a box appearance.

Chunky Hand Formed Chain

Mark first made this bracelet for himself, when he wanted a chunky chain, straightforward, big and organic - that not only WAS handmade but also LOOKED handmade. He wanted each link to be different - rustic - hand formed. Bent, twisted, hammered, imperfect. And as this is how he makes these bracelets, they are all different and totally unique.

Linked Rings Bracelet

Inspired by the chain maille jewellery Mark makes, and by medieval jewellery, the linked rings bracelet is a simple design consisting of large handmade rings linked by a series of smaller rings.

Colourburst Bracelets

Colourburst Round Coloured Bracelet

Inspired by the smooth rounded elipse of a traditional ceramic or glass ink wells, each section of this bracelet is a smooth elipse which is so smooth it feels soft to the touch and is lined with a with liquid like shiny cold bright enamel.

Colourburst Watercolour Set Bracelet

This bracelet is like a set of watercolour paints, each colour in its own modern, clean wide rimmed square dish. Poppy, contemporary and colourful - bright hand laid cold enamel on chunky solid sterling silver, this beautifully designed bracelet really says something about its extraordinary owner.

Colourburst Waffle Bracelet

When Mark isn't working with silver, he can often be found painting, and his current obsession is with squares of colour. So this piece is a timely nod to his current collection of paintings, which just happens to look like a collection of groovy appartment blocks - or if you prefer - waffles.
